Mindfulness in the Mountains

Mindfulness in the Mountains was founded by naturopathic doctor and nurse, Karen Bender, to provided resources for those who wish to feel more connected to the natural world, their community, and to themselves through mindfulness and self-compassion centered practices.

Mindfulness in Mountains offers community meditations, workshops and courses to equip people with skills to navigate a sometimes challenging world with greater compassion for self and others. Many of the skill and exercises taught are based on the research and curriculum of the Mindful Self-Compassion Course developed by psychologist Kristin Neff and Chris Germer.
