About the Event
Not everyone realizes that our psychology has been wired primarily for surviving rather than thriving. We have evolved ways of thinking that were driven out of a need to keep us safe from harm as a way to ensure our survival, over ways of thinking driven out of a desire for happiness. Psychologist refer to this as the innate negativity bias. This bias inclines us to pay more attention to negative things that might be possible threats, over positive things that foster a sense of happiness. Fortunately there are things you can do to counter act this negativity bias and therefore live a happier more contented life. Come join Dr. Karen Bender as she guides you through hands-on exercises and meditations designed to cultivate happiness and a greater sense of well-being.
